About Richie Miranda

Richie "El Machete" Miranda is a Mexican/American mixed martial arts professional fighter. Miranda is currently a purple belt in BJJ and fights in the Lightweight division. Currently fighting for Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA). His record currently stands at 12-1, with 5 Ko's, 2 Submissions, making it 4 first round finishes and 7 total stoppages. Richie has been competing since 2018 and fighting professionally since 2021. El Machete has competed in Fight Club OC & Cage Warriors.  

Background 

Born and raised in the City of Santa Ana, California, Richie Miranda competed in the wrestling team for Segerstrom High School from 2008-2012. After graduating from Segerstrom, he continued to pursue wrestling at Santa Ana College where he became a 2x All-American at 149 and 157 pounds. After his junior-college wrestling career, Miranda transferred to the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he competed in two wrestling seasons at 165 pounds. As he finished up his BS in Criminal Justice/Political Science at Kearney, he joined Kearney Combat Sports under Richard Barajas and started training Mixed Martial Arts. Miranda moved back to California in 2019, he trained at Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) under Erik Paulson and Ben Jones. He also trained out of The Den Training Center under Ben Jones. Currently his trains out of Bloodline Combat Sports in Orange, California under Cub Swanson, Roybal Boxing with Dale Roybal, Graice Barra HQ with Philipe Della Monica, and Murataya Striking with Anthony Murataya.
