Background
Born and raised in the City of Santa Ana, California, Richie Miranda competed in the wrestling team for Segerstrom High School from 2008-2012. After graduating from Segerstrom, he continued to pursue wrestling at Santa Ana College where he became a 2x All-American at 149 and 157 pounds. After his junior-college wrestling career, Miranda transferred to the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he competed in two wrestling seasons at 165 pounds. As he finished up his BS in Criminal Justice/Political Science at Kearney, he joined Kearney Combat Sports under Richard Barajas and started training Mixed Martial Arts. Miranda moved back to California in 2019, he trained at Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) under Erik Paulson and Ben Jones. He now trains out of The Den Training Center in Yorba Linda, California under Ben Jones.
